It’s been a while. I haven’t seen most of you for 50 years. In my mind, you’re still those hipsters I spent my time around, the ones I got into misadventures with, the ones who filled my life with drama, adventure, silliness, and seriousness.

Me, I’m old, retired, husband (44 years of bliss), father (4), and grandfather (5). I was a teacher (delinquent boys) for 36 years, a politician (currently Mayor and Lt. Governor candidate). I’m a climate activist, direct action trainer, community organizer, and farmer.

It might be a shock to my system if I showed up at the reunion and found that all those kids from the class of ‘72 were now older than the oldest of our teachers.
